About Chemical Peels

Chemical peels are designed to help treat more serious skin conditions, such as acne, pigmentation, scarring, and texture. The peel will remove the top layer of skin (it’s not as scary as it sounds) in order to make room for a new layer of skin to take its place.

In order for it to do this, you have to prep your skin with the correct products beforehand. This is very important because without proper prepping, you can cause scars, dark spots, and worse burning. The products that go with the peel will help condition your skin by inducing cellular turnover and rejuvenation, and also suppress your melanin cells to prevent post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (dark spots that can appear as a result of trauma to the skin).

How does it work:

Peels work best when they’re done in a series of at least 3 at a time, every 6 weeks. We want to peel your skin quickly, and turn over your cells quickly as well, to give you the best results. Some people may need more than 3, depending on the skin issue, but that’s a good place to start seeing results. Each peel is followed by a calming facial one week afterward to help reduce visible peeling. The peel that I use is professional grade, with powerful ingredients to correct your skin conditions quickly and effectively.

What products do you need:

Before the chemical peel, I'll recommend a customized system of products based on your needs. If you have a darker skin tone, you’ll need to use this serum for a longer period of time to avoid post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. The typical time frame for using this product is 2 weeks to 3 weeks, depending on skin tone and sensitivity. After we start the peel, you’ll go on a simple skin care regimen.

How much does it cost:

The price for a peel plus the follow up calming facial and homecare products is $200.

The end result will be beautiful, healthy, and clear skin! Peel season is usually during fall/winter, so let's get yours scheduled so you can see the difference!
